The FAW V2 is a compact hatchback that sits in the budget-conscious end of the Pakistani market, competing with the likes of Suzuki Cultus and older Wagon R variants. Both trims — VCT-i and VCT-i Luxury — run a 1.3-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. In city traffic you can realistically expect somewhere in the 10-12 km/l range depending on driving habits. The engine is adequately powered for urban use without feeling particularly sporty or refined — it gets the job done for daily commuting.

FAW has had a presence in Pakistan long enough that mechanics in major cities like Lahore and Karachi are reasonably familiar with the platform, though parts availability is not as widespread as Japanese alternatives. The VCT-i Luxury adds a few comfort features over the base trim but the core mechanicals remain identical. Resale value tends to be softer than equivalent Japanese-brand hatchbacks, which is worth factoring into your total cost of ownership.

The V2 suits a buyer who wants basic, affordable city transport and is not overly concerned with resale or brand prestige. The honest limitation is that build quality and interior materials feel noticeably below Japanese competitors at a similar price point.
