The Kia Cerato 2.0 EX is the higher-spec trim of Cerato's lineup, powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox. This puts it in the same segment as the Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic, aimed at buyers who want a bit more engine displacement and cabin refinement without moving into premium territory. The 2.0L unit feels relaxed at highway speeds and reasonably responsive in city traffic, though expect fuel consumption in the 9-11 km/l range in Karachi or Lahore stop-and-go conditions. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and suits daily commuting well.
Kia has expanded its dealer and service network across major Pakistani cities since its relaunch, so authorized servicing is accessible in urban centres. That said, the Cerato is less common than Corolla or Civic on Pakistani roads, which means independent mechanics may be less familiar with the platform. Genuine parts are available through Kia dealerships but can cost more than Japanese-brand equivalents. Resale value has been reasonable but trails the Toyota and Honda competition, which is worth factoring into the total cost of ownership.
