The Nissan March 12X is a compact hatchback powered by a 1200cc petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox. It sits in the light city car segment, aimed at buyers who want something smaller and more fuel-efficient than a Corolla or City. The CVT keeps revs low in stop-and-go traffic, and in real Karachi or Lahore city conditions you can expect somewhere in the 10-13 km/l range depending on AC use and traffic. The engine is not particularly punchy but it is smooth enough for urban commuting.
The March is not as widely sold in Pakistan as Japanese-market grey imports, so parts availability can be patchy outside major cities. Local mechanics familiar with Nissan HR12DE-type engines exist in bigger urban centres, but you may need to source some components from importers. For older units, check the CVT fluid condition, front suspension bushings, and AC performance. Resale is moderate — the March has a smaller buyer pool than mainstream sedans, which can slow resale but also means prices stay relatively stable.
