The Nissan Serena 20X is a mid-to-upper trim of the Serena MPV range, powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox. It is aimed at families who need genuine seven or eight-seat capacity without moving into full-size van territory. The 2.0L engine delivers adequate power for city driving and highway runs, though in heavy Karachi or Lahore traffic the CVT keeps things smooth and relaxed rather than sporty. Expect city fuel returns in the 8-10 km/l range depending on load and AC use, which is reasonable for a vehicle this size.
The Serena has a reasonable presence in Pakistani cities, particularly among families and school-run buyers. Grey imports make up most of the market, so parts sourcing can require effort compared to locally assembled vehicles. Mechanics familiar with Nissan CVTs are available in major cities but less common in smaller towns. For older examples, check the CVT fluid condition, suspension bushings, and AC system. Resale is generally stable given the demand for practical MPVs, though it moves slower than Toyota alternatives.
