The Proton X70 is a Malaysian-made mid-size SUV that sits in the same segment as the Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson, but comes in at a noticeably lower price point in Pakistan. It is powered by a 1.8L turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The lineup runs from the entry Executive FWD up to the range-topping Premium X AWD, giving buyers a choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drive across two trim levels. In city traffic, the turbo engine pulls well from low revs, though the dual-clutch gearbox can feel hesitant at very low speeds — something to keep in mind if you do a lot of stop-and-go driving.

Proton entered Pakistan relatively recently, so the service network is still developing compared to Toyota or Honda. Parts availability is improving but not yet at the level where any roadside mechanic can sort you out — you will likely need to visit an authorised service centre for most work. Resale data is still thin since the X70 is a newer entrant, so expect some uncertainty when selling.
