Hyundai Nexo

The Hyundai Nexo is a hydrogen fuel cell electric SUV, available in Blue and Limited trims. Rather than a battery you charge overnight, it runs on compressed hydrogen that reacts with oxygen to generate electricity, emitting only water vapor. Refueling takes around five minutes, and range on a full tank sits in the 550-600 km territory under standard conditions. The drivetrain delivers smooth, quiet power similar to a battery EV, with strong low-end torque and a relaxed highway character. The Limited adds features like a larger display, ventilated seats, and a more comprehensive driver assistance suite over the base Blue trim.

For Pakistan, the Nexo is essentially a concept-market vehicle at this stage. There are no hydrogen refueling stations in the country, and local mechanics have no familiarity with fuel cell systems. Parts support and after-sales infrastructure simply do not exist here yet. Resale would be extremely difficult given the niche nature of the platform.

The Nexo suits a buyer in a market with hydrogen infrastructure, such as South Korea, California, or parts of Europe, who wants EV-style running costs with fast refueling. For Pakistani buyers, it is worth watching as technology, but not a practical purchase today.
