The Venue 1.0T GDI SX+ is the top trim of Hyundai's compact crossover, built around a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine paired with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Despite the small displacement, the turbo gives it a noticeably peppy character that suits urban driving well. The DCT shifts quickly in normal conditions but can feel hesitant in slow stop-and-go traffic, which is worth knowing if your daily commute involves a lot of crawling. Expect city fuel economy somewhere in the 10-13 km/l range depending on traffic and AC load.
The Venue is a relatively recent entrant in the Pakistani market, so local mechanic familiarity is still developing compared to Toyota or Honda platforms. Hyundai's dealer network has expanded in major cities, but for smaller towns, parts sourcing can take longer. As the SX+ sits at the top of the range, it carries more electronics and features, which means more potential points of failure over time. Resale is reasonable in urban centres but has not yet built the deep track record that Corolla or City owners enjoy.
How 1.0T GDI SX+ compares to the rest of the lineup.
