The Subaru XV 2.0i-S is the top trim of the XV Crosstrek lineup, a compact crossover built on Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel-drive platform. The 2.0-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine is smooth and relaxed rather than sporty, and the CVT keeps things unhurried in city traffic. Expect city mileage in the 9-11 km/l range depending on traffic conditions. The raised ground clearance makes it genuinely useful on broken urban roads and light off-road tracks.
In Pakistan, the XV is a grey import and not officially sold here, so parts availability is more limited than Japanese-market staples like Corolla or Civic. Mechanics familiar with Subaru are mostly found in larger cities like Karachi and Lahore. The boxer engine and AWD system require specialist attention, and service costs run higher than mainstream options. Resale is decent in enthusiast circles but the buyer pool is narrower than for Toyota or Honda crossovers.
