The Toyota C-HR is a compact crossover aimed at buyers who want something more distinctive than a standard Corolla-based SUV. The lineup splits between a 1.8L petrol-hybrid system and a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine. The hybrid variants — G 1.8 Hybrid and G Hybrid — pair a naturally aspirated 1.8L engine with an electric motor, giving smooth, relaxed acceleration and noticeably better fuel returns in stop-and-go city traffic compared to conventional crossovers. The 1.2 Turbo in the S-T variant delivers a punchier feel at lower revs, though fuel economy is more average. The CVT transmission in both setups is tuned for comfort rather than engagement.

The C-HR is a Japanese-market import in Pakistan, which means parts availability is more limited than locally assembled Toyota models. Mechanics familiar with Aqua or Prius hybrid systems can generally handle the hybrid drivetrain, but body panels and interior trim can be harder to source. Resale is reasonable in major cities where JDM imports have an established buyer base, though it trails Corolla and Fortuner in liquidity.

The C-HR suits a city-based buyer who prioritises fuel efficiency, a compact footprint, and a less common look on Pakistani roads. The honest limitation is rear passenger space — the sloping roofline noticeably cuts headroom for taller adults. Best suited for a couple or small family doing mostly urban commuting.
