Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra is a full-size American-market pickup truck that Toyota also sells in certain Gulf and import markets, and occasionally finds its way into Pakistan through grey channels. The three variants cover different powertrain philosophies: the 3.5 Twin Turbo i-FORCE is a twin-turbocharged V6 replacing the older V8, the i-FORCE MAX adds a hybrid motor for more low-end torque, and the 5.7 V8 Limited is the older naturally aspirated V8 that many buyers already know. In Pakistani city traffic, fuel consumption on any of these will be heavy — expect single-digit or low double-digit km/l at best given the size and weight.

Parts availability in Pakistan for the Tundra is limited compared to locally assembled vehicles. The 5.7 V8 has been around longer so some mechanics in Karachi and Lahore have exposure to it, but the newer twin-turbo and hybrid variants will need specialist attention or dealer-level diagnostics. Resale is niche — buyers exist but the pool is small, and values depend heavily on import documentation and condition.

The Tundra suits a buyer who genuinely needs a heavy-duty, large-format pickup and is comfortable with higher running and maintenance costs. It is not a practical daily commuter for most Pakistani urban use cases.
